Vintage Little Golden Book set, Rare My First Golden Learning Library, Complete Set, collectible Little Golden Books, Alphabet Books in case
I'm excited to offer this extremely rare complete set of My First Golden Learning Library Books by Golden Press. This highly collectible set of Little Golden books consist of 16 books covering the alphabet. Most books cover one letter and explore words that begin with that letter. Some books cover more than one letter such as XYZ. While the letter S has two books. It's a small child's first set of Fun encyclopedias.
The covers of these precious books have Little saying like...
A this book is all about ants and autos, armadillos and airplanes and lots of other exciting A's.
B this book is all about birds and butterflies, bears and bicycles, and lots of other exciting B's.
The book of A begins with a forward from the publisher about the importance of a child's education.
"The 16 volumes of My First Golden Learning Library, with their more than 400 pages of text and 1,500 illustrations, have been meticulously planned, both to arouse and satisfy the thirst for knowledge."
Copyrighted in 1965, this extremely collectible complete set of Little Golden Books has been sitting for over 50 years. It is a recent estate find in a home full of lovely items for children.
CONDITION; I will try to describe the condition of these books completely. Please view all the pictures provided.
There is some color transfer to these books which appears to have been from them sitting close to each other in their little cardboard carrying case.
When I remove them from the case for inspection, they were still in alphabetical order. It is evident from the colors of the covers that any discoloration is from the books that were sitting next to each other. There is rubbing wear on the colored foil spines. Some of the book covers show slight wear. Rubbed edges.
Only the L book has a piece of tape on it discolored over time.
The insides of these books are in pristine condition with only natural aging of the paper. There is no writing or marking on the pages. There are no names written inside the front covers. There are no dogeared pages. All the pages are intact and none are torn. These books appear to have hardly ever even been opened. They are beautiful.
The case is fragile from age. One tab has fallen off but was inside the box. The Little Red handle is still on the box.
These Books have no foul or musty odors.
It is very rare to find a Complete set of these treasured Little Golden Books.

SHIPPING: I ship on business days and as quickly as possible. If there will be a delay in shipping I will notify you. Saturday, Sunday & Holidays are not considered business days. Once an item is dropped off at the Post Office it is trackable, but I am no longer able to control the handling of the item. This includes the speed of delivery. I prefer to ship all items priority mail, which includes tracking and insurance. Some items do qualify for 1st class postage.
